purchased the majority of assets from ConverTec.

with the sale of Nortel's Enterprise division to Avaya.
We feel this is an opportunity for the company to redirect
its
focus and efforts in a different direction, namely speech
solutions” explains Doug Moffat, former president of ConverTec. “The addition of our
product portfolio is a natural fit with Komutel's current stable of products”, said Doug.
While major changes affect the telecommunications market
today, Komutel continues to grow due to its innovative
technology. “This is a natural add-on to Komutel’s know-how,

solutions. With this acquisition, we create a new growth

This acquisition positions Komutel as the primary Canadian
developer and manufacturer of PC based attendant consoles
and integration tools for enhanced business communications.

of major telecommunications equipment manufacturers and are
marketed by the largest distributors in the industry.
With respect to current customers, it's business as usual.
Existing reseller and customer relationships are all being
maintained with Komutel committed to continuing product
development for the current ConverTec family of products.
