NewsDesktop Console for CS1k and M1 discontinuedMay 28, 2008 -- Desktop Console was dropped from the ConverTec product line-up in order to focus efforts on a new SIP based console application. Preliminary work has begun on a new application that will be compatible with Nortel's new SCS500 SIP phone system, along with the Communication Server 1000. The goal is to provide integration between the following Nortel products in one application; Norstar, BCM, SCS500 and CS1k. Desktop console was a branded product from Komutel. Komutel will continue to provide support for all existing Desktop Console customers.
