Toyota & Lexus Dealerships use VOIP and Console.NET
to Improve Internal Efficiencies and Customer
Service
September 14, 2006 -- Toyota & Lexus
Dealer Customer Testimonial
Mr. Frank Apa is the
Owner and Operator of
the Lexus and Toyota
Dealerships in Oakville
Ontario Canada.
The dealerships
are geographically
separated and in an
effort to combine
resources and offer
better customer service,
Mr. Apa installed Nortel
BCM's at both locations
and networked them
together using VOIP.
The result is that
employees can
communicate from either
dealership in a much
more cohesive and
efficient manner and
customers can reach a
person regardless of the
location they are in.
Console.NET was added at the Concierge desk of both
dealerships so that the receptionists can see extensions
from both dealerships and simplify transferring calls to
either location. Using Console.NET. the
receptionists can see if a person is busy on a call and
elect to send a text message to the busy phone which is
scrolled across the display of the phone alerting the
person in an unobtrusive manner.
The dealerships are open early morning to late evening.
Calls that are forwarded from one dealership
to the other are identified by Console.NET and are
answered with the appropriate greeting.
"I would like to thank ConverTec for
providing such a simple to use, yet highly
effective communication tool" Mr.
Frank Apa - Owner & Operator of
Lexus
of Oakville
and
Oakville Toyota
Communications between
locations also improved
by allowing employees
from either dealership to assign a
notification message on
their phone which is
displayed on the Console.NET
interface as well as on
the phone of a co-worker
when they call that phone.
A Sales Associate out on
a test drive can assign
"On a test drive" from
his/her phone alerting
everyone of their
status.
