Visual Call Manager v3.0 is released
September 1, 2003 -- VCM v3.0 is released with a significant change to the Client Interface to take advantage of the increased capacity of the anticipated Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager 3.0 phone system. The VCM Client interface now allows a user to define how he or she wants to view the extensions in an office. Up to 160 extensions may be viewed without having to scroll.
Other enhancements include a new VCM Server module which was developed specifically to provide CALL Auditor the necessary call data to create unique reports. CALL Auditor, in conjunction with the Optional Report Package, allows companies to create reports indicating the length of time callers were placed on hold, on a per line, per day and per extension basis.
CALL Auditor has been enhanced to allow filtering on the number of times a caller is Transferred, placed on Hold or Parked on a single call. Windows XP has also been added to the list of compatible operating systems for the VCM client.
