Established in 1998, ConverTec is a privately owned worldwide company headquartered in Burlington Ontario Canada. ConverTec provides computer telephony solutions for SMB's to larger multi-site organizations providing them productivity and communication enhancements by
CONVERging their existing TEChnolgies. In addition to the expanding portfolio of products, ConverTec is a system integrator providing professional services to tailor a solution to meet a company's needs.
ConverTec is Nortel centric which allows for a strong relationship, cohesive development strategies and seamless integration to Nortel's product line. All ConverTec products are certified by Nortel which adds a level of comfort for Nortel
Channel Partners and ConverTec customers. ConverTec was one of Nortel's original Developer Partners in North America in 1998 and is currently Nortel's preferred vendor for the PC Console on the Business Communications Manager.
ConverTec is a Registered Microsoft Partner ensuring the latest Microsoft technology is used to develop solutions for today and into the future.
Future Products and Platforms
We're currently working on some exciting projects. They are;
- SimRing/Follow Me is a new ConverTec
Enterprise Office (CEO) application allowing Nortel
BCM users the ability to have specific rules
invoked when their office phone rings and they're
not in the office. For example, a user can
configure the system to simultaneously call their
cell phone, home phone and Windows Live Messenger
account. Other features include email
notification of a missed call with CLID information,
Skype and SIP integration.
- CRM Integrator for Outlook v2.0 will
include integration to Outlook Calendar and Microsoft
Live Messenger for added presence and Instant Messaging
(IM).
Additional call control will be added along with the
ability to recognize a phone number in any
application and allow you to dial. The ability
to "click to record" a call is also being added to
v2..0.
- CRM Integrator
for Nortel’s BCM & Norstar will continue to
evolve with added integration to Microsoft CRM,
Sales Force Automation and Goldmine. The
dashboard approach will provide seamless integration
including; inbound screen-pop, outbound dialing,
call control and presence.
- CALL Analyst is a
web based call reporting product that will be added
to the ConverTec Enterprise Office Suite of desktop
applications. This 2nd generation call
reporting product will replace VCM's CALL Auditor
and is scheduled for release in Q3 2008. All
current reports from CALL Auditor will be maintained
in CALL Analyst with added features such as;
scheduling and email delivery of reports.
- CALL Navigator v2.0
will have Contact Center capabilities,
enhanced messaging capabilities with IM and "Click
to record" added.
Other applications developed with Microsoft's .NET technology on the Vista operating system and SIP
based applications are being developed to operate across
the entire range of Nortel phone system offerings.
