Senior Software Developer
Position Description
ConverTec requires a key software developer for
our leading CTI .NET Platform. You will work on leading edge
development projects in the emerging field of Web Enabled Computer
Telephony Integration. WEB CTI technology fuses phones, computers and
the internet into a powerful enabling tool for businesses and
individuals. You will be given the opportunity to expand your skills in
today's hottest technologies.
Experience
Your education includes a degree in Computer
Science with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Must Have Skills
- Experience developing, customizing and implementing
enterprise-level software solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
- Component based
programming (COM, COM+, .NET)
Application development (VB.NET, C#, J#, XML, XSL, XPath, VB, Visual
C++, Visual J++, Visual InterDev)- Internet development (HTML,
JavaScript, VB Script)
Data access (ADO, ADO.NET, SQL Server, Transact SQL)- Designing and
implementing Microsoft SQL Server database
- Knowledge of the Win32 API and Programming Model
- Web Standards (XML, Web Services, Application
Integration, etc)
- Knowledge of Client server architectures
- Exposure to the full software development lifecycle
- The ability to work effectively within a team and
with customers
- Proven ability to deliver quality software on
schedule
Desirable
Skills
- Knowledge of Nortel
Networks, BCM LAN CTE
- Nortel Computer
Telephony Integration (CTI)
- Nortel Telephony or VoIP experience
- Nortel Telephony hardware
- Voice over IP (H.323, SIP, RTP)
Required Traits
- Mentors and trains both peers and less senior
software development staff in areas of domain expertise and internal
procedures
- Will recommend problem solving methodologies and
participate in formal project review analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in
English
- Exceptional ability to teach and distribute
knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Analytical and detail minded
- Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who is capable
